Celebrating Earth Day with Reports of Energy Savings Through Wind Power

What better day than Earth Day to celebrate our energy savings? The Center of Concern is proud to share news of its environmental stewardship. We procure our energy through Washington Gas Energy Services' Green-e Energy, a certified wind power source from regional wind farms. Wind power is the world's fastest growing energy resource. Integral Ecology Project Recognizes Mandela's Interests in Sustainability

The Integral Ecology Project expresses deep respect for the work of Nelson Mandela to improve the sustainability of South Africa through his legislative accomplishments. Under his presidency, South Africans experienced major changes in the quality of their lives as millions accessed telephone lines, the electricity grid, and clean sources of water. He worked for employment equity, workers' rights, and the rights of labor tenants who lived and worked on farms. Photo/CC/Darling Wind Farm/Warren Rohner
