Opting for the Poor in Making Tax Policies

Center of Concern is proud to cosponsor with the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and Extreme Poverty, an Expert meeting on the theme “The human rights impacts of fiscal and tax policy.” The meeting takes place on September 16-17, at the UN Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, and is also cosponsored by Friedrich Ebert Foundation, MISEREOR and Christian Aid. The meeting is intended as a consultation to assist the Rapporteur in preparing an upcoming report she will submit to the Human Rights Council in 2014. At the meeting, RBW Project Director Aldo Caliari will make a presentation on taxation in the financial sector.
