Working for Social Justice in Food Systems

On June 24-26 Center of Concern team member Aldo Caliari attended “Linking Social Struggles: Can the Path Towards Human Rights Compliant, Holistic and Sustainable Food Systems Serve to Unify Struggles?” (photo: CC/Flickr/Oxfam/East Africa/farming) At the meeting, bringing together representatives around sixty civil society, social movement and peasant organizations and academic representatives from all regions of the world, Mr. Caliari will be a resource person on issues relating to financial regulation and investment issues related to the food system. On June 26th, Mr. Caliari joined a planning meeting of the Extraterritorial Obligations Consortium, a network dedicated to promote the extraterritorial application of human rights norms, of which the Center of Concern is a member.
