On November 20, 2014, at the International Monetary Fund Headquarters in Washington DC, Center of Concern and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung -New York hold a half-day seminar “Mobilization of Domestic Resources and Debt.” The seminar is the third in a series of private seminars for Executive Directors of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank on key issues in financing a new generation of development goals that Center of Concern and FES have been hosting since April of this year.

Between this year and the next, the international community will bring to a culmination the process toward reaching consensus on the post-2015 development agenda. Center of Concern has been very active in generating analysis and promoting dialogue by key stakeholders on the financing requirements that will help attain an ambitious sustainable development agenda.

RBW Project Director Aldo Caliari also addresses these issues in a presentation earlier in the week, on November 17th, as part of the 11th Annual Meeting of the UN and International Organizations Civil Society Focal Points, held in Washington DC and hosted at World Bank Headquarters. There, his panel intervention will focus on the importance of financial reform for reducing inequality and unsustainable consumption and production patterns.
