Presenting in Shawnee on the Delaware, PA, Deva Kemmis, Ph.D., the director of Global Women's Project, argues for new understandings of the prophetic female voice and offers evidence for reenvisioning gender-based roles, expectations, and possibilities for women and girls. Kemmis's work contrasts the concept of sacred time as expressed in the feminine narrative with that of earthly time as perceived in the male-female experience. Particularly timely in this re-consideration of the female voice, Pope Francis speaks out in recent news publications, and he calls for further investigation of the role of women in the church. Pope Francis refers to the feminine genius being needed wherever we make important decisions.
