On a wall at COC’s booth, hundreds of people shared their greatest social concerns. Responses included hunger, poverty, climate change, immigration reform and racism. The Center gave participants fair-trade chocolate and justice-themed bookmarks.

Thousands of youth and adults from across the nation visited Center of Concern’s exhibit at the National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis, Ind. The event brought together 23,000 Catholics for three days of faith and fun. Hundreds of people shared their greatest social concerns on a wall at COC’s booth. Responses included hunger, poverty, climate change, immigration reform and racism. The Center gave participants fair-trade chocolate and justice-themed bookmarks. Winners of daily drawings for COC’s 2014 “Signs of the Times” calendar were Miya Saint-Louis of Kansas City, Kans., Lisa Gomes of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Mike Linnenbrink of Donnellson, Iowa.  “This was my 11th NCYC,” Finan says. “The thought our youth give to social concerns is amazing. It gives me hope!”
