President of the Center of Concern Dr. Lester Myers speaks to the McLean, VA PAX community on the importance of  principled leadership for sustainability. Myers says, "Sustainability requires a systematic and holistic approach that matches the scope for the types of capital at stake: (1) human capital: respect for the dignity of work, including education, health care, opportunities for participation, and work-life balance; (2) ecological capital: respect for the environment, including practices for appraising, engaging, and enhancing natural resources; and (3) financial capital: to foster quality growth and provide resources for long-term economic, political, and social stability."

Kenneth Melley, member of the Center's board of directors, attended the presentation.
