Center of Concern continues to be part of the important advocacy efforts to ensure that the sustainable development agenda that world leaders are expected to adopt in meetings in Addis Ababa (July) and New York (September) will put the interest of those in poverty first, and be equitably and adequately financed.
On April 9 2015, CoC team member Aldo Caliari will moderate the session on global financial and institutional reforms and debt of the Hearings for Civil Society in the lead-up to the Third Financing for Development Conference (FFD 3). The following day he will be a resource people at a strategy meeting of the Women’s Working Group on Financing for Development.
The week of April 13th he will attend the FFD 3 Drafting session, being held in New York at the UN Headquarters. Also at UN Headquarters, between April 22nd and April 24th, he will be a civil society speaker at an interactive session of negotiations on Post-2015 Development Agenda dealing with Means of Implementation, negotiations that include financial means.
Mr. Caliari has also been part of the Rapid Response Team drafting a civil society response to the first negotiating text released by the co-facilitators of the Addis Ababa conference.
